As you probably now know, Athletic Tea Co. has officially rebranded to MISSION. Last week we held a small celebration with the people who helped to make it happen! In case you missed it, here’s what happened.
We were welcomed by the founder of MISSION, Tom Whittle. Tom took us through his story of a 12,500km bike ride through South America and finding the ‘Drink of the Gods’ - yerba mate. With a new sustainable energy source, he was inspired to bring the leaves home and create MISSION. Read more about Tom and his adventures on his website here.
After a talk a from our master tea blender on the history of tea, where tea is now headed and the art of creating our award winning blends.
We were then educated by our nutritional scientist, Dr. Murray Polkinghorne. Murray gave an insightful talk focusing on the benefits of our teas over coffee. You can read more on the detail here.
Finally, Nick Butter took an evening off from his busy schedule (currently half way through a new world record attempt to run a marathon in every country in the world) to talk us through his MISSION and why he drinks our tea everyday. All the proceeds raised from the launch night went to Nick's charity - Prostate Cancer UK. Read more about the Nick's amazing challenge here or follow him on Instagram.
